Sometimes my brain goes into sleep mode, like when I’m standing in line somewhere or between events at a four hour track meet. It must be some kind of preprogrammed human coping mechanism to keep blood pressure in check or maybe prevent mob rioting and mass murder. It clearly doesn’t work all the time, based on daily news reports. And millennials must have dropped the gene in their short evolution. They’ve been conditioned to stand contently in endless lines, with the ultimate reward being the latest iteration of a two by four inch electronic distraction.

My reality has become product safety; specifically food safety. The concept is an industry-driven effort at controlling the quality and safety of the nation’s food supply. And it’s a great idea. After all, how many times have you been at restaurant and seen some poorly trained slob pull an uncomfortable wedgie from his nether regions while making your burrito. Or my recent personal favorite, a worker at a fast food place that licked her finger before pulling each coffee cup from the holder. You know, to get a little extra “tack.”
Privilege
I am privileged. That is to say, “white privileged,” as defined by the left and the social movements of the day. I grew up in a small Wisconsin city (call it “Mayberry”), went to public school, received a good education at a state university, became an employed taxpayer and ultimately a business owner. I have a family, home, dog and two cats. And to the extent of “privilege,” I own guns, fly airplanes, and support the economy by purchasing things that are not essential.
Man Down
Man up! Can’t you be more sensitive? I need romance. Don’t touch me. Do you always have to touch me? Is that all you think about? Be a man!
To answer all of that… OK. Yes. Me too. Why not? Yes! Yes. I am… Let me be one.
This is a message for our society; men and women. You have created the androgynous troll identified as the modern male. Women have been the driving force behind the transformation and men have passively accepted our evolution under threat of persecution, prosecution, and (God help us) blue-balled abstinence.
